this great little cabin is near Yellowstone and Bozeman. It’s from the USFS website…

It’s rustic with no electricity plumbing or heat, but with a wood burning stove and kitchen with everything you need to get started. At night you can see the lights of Bozeman and the twilight of the Montana Big Sky.


This cabin is a Tryolian farm house dated to be at least 300 years if not 400 years old.  I went to Austria back in 2004 to visit my good friend Liz from grad school.  She took me to this great place that restored and showcased these ancient places.  The homestead cabin in Montana has certain parallels to the one in Austria and one day I hope to have my own up in the mountains…with CHICKENS!
