It has been a long time since I pulled out the Ipad, but the clouds were something I felt were better captured in softer tones as well when working light on dark on this interesting contrast of weather.  Water colors can achieve some level of softness but it’s much harder when trying to get contrasting values.  At one point I will get back to oil sketching, but the materials and resources can be a burden when I travel a lot.

This is my first attempt at finger painting with the Ipad. The subject matter are my two cats, Sally and Serena. I plan on doing more observational sketches but have yet to find a pen or stylus that isn’t overly expensive but intuitive for an artist.
